White flowers in late spring
Great ground cover; delicious tiny berries
(Fragaria vesca) This delicate, native strawberry (a.k.a. Greenleaf strawberry) brightens up the understory in partially shaded forests in all three of Washington’s National Parks – Olympia, Mt. Rainier and North Cascades. 2-5 small white flowers produce bright red berries that are tiny, but delicious!
